Omelet You Cook Now Available on Steam

The egg-cooking roguelike Omelet You Cook is officially available for PC via Steam. It was shadow-dropped during the Wholesome Direct livestream, which falls in the middle of Summer Game Fest. This quirky title was first revealed last year, and players can now finally experience it firsthand.

Gameplay Overview

The game presents a unique blend of chaos and strategy, casting players as a line cook at a middle school cafeteria. It draws inspiration from popular titles such as Overcooked, along with elements reminiscent of the narrative-focused cooking sim Venba and the sushi minigame from Dave the Diver. The combination of these influences creates an engaging and entertaining experience.

Features

Omelet You Cook is not just a chaotic minigame; it offers depth through various gameplay mechanics. Players can add and prep ingredients between rounds, enhancing their cooking strategy. Additionally, there are rare relics that provide power-ups, adding another layer of excitement to the game. A unique feature includes a hungry dog that hoovers up unwanted ingredients, adding a humorous twist to the gameplay.

Early Access Release

This title is currently in early access, meaning players should anticipate updates and changes as the months progress. Developer SchuBox Games is also working on a football sim that stars chickens titled Dicey Birdball, although that game did not receive a surprise drop today. The team at SchuBox Games certainly has a penchant for poultry-themed games.
