Capcom’s Pragmata: New Release Date and Gameplay Details Revealed

Pragmata, a new sci-fi, third-person action game from Capcom, has a newly announced release date. During Sony’s summer State of Play on June 4, Capcom shared a new trailer that showcases gameplay from Pragmata and reveals that the game is now targeting a 2026 release.

Gameplay Overview

According to the trailer and a blog post on the Playstation Blog, players will control two characters in Pragmata: Hugh, a protagonist in a spacesuit, and Diana, a young robot capable of hacking into the lunar station that serves as the game’s primary setting. Players will need to utilize both characters’ abilities simultaneously to navigate through rogue robots and various obstacles. The trailer suggests a blend of hacking and combat, although it is anticipated that the final release will offer a broader range of gameplay mechanics.

Development History

Pragmata was initially announced all the way back in 2020 prior to the launch of the PlayStation 5, with an original target release date set for 2022. However, the game has faced multiple delays since its announcement, with the most recent postponement occurring in 2023 when Capcom delayed the game indefinitely.. As of now, it remains unclear how much of Pragmata has been reworked during its development process.

Platform Availability

Scheduled for release in 2026, Pragmata will be available on the PlayStation 5, and it is expected to launch alongside versions for Xbox Series X/S and PC, as previously indicated.
