Garmin Launches Venu X1 Fitness Watch

Garmin Venu X1

Garmin has officially announced the release of the Venu X1 fitness watch, a device designed to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra 2. The Venu X1 features a 2-inch square AMOLED screen and a robust titanium body, making it a stylish yet functional option for fitness enthusiasts.

Design and Display

The design of the Venu X1 resembles a square version of Garmin’s popular Fenix 8 and Forerunner 970 watches. However, it comes with some trade-offs, including a shorter battery life. Garmin claims that the Venu X1 will last approximately two days with the always-on display activated, or up to eight days with the feature turned off. In comparison, the 47mm AMOLED Fenix 8 offers seven days of battery life with the always-on display.

Garmin Venu X1 Features

Features and Functionality

The Venu X1 is equipped with a built-in flashlight, a feature that is also present in Garmin’s other models. However, it does not include ECG support or multi-band GPS, which are available in some of its counterparts. One notable addition is the full-color mapping capability, which is typically not found in Garmin’s Venu series watches.

In terms of durability, the Venu X1 boasts a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and a titanium caseback. It also includes a built-in speaker and microphone, allowing users to make calls or issue voice commands directly from the watch. Garmin has highlighted that certain voice commands, such as “start a running activity” or “set a timer for 5 minutes,” can be executed without needing to pair the watch with a smartphone.

Health and Fitness Tracking

The Venu X1 comes packed with a comprehensive suite of health and fitness tracking features. It supports over 100 different activity profiles, catering to a wide range of fitness interests. Additionally, the watch includes a pulse oximeter that measures blood oxygen saturation, providing users with valuable health insights.

Availability

The Garmin Venu X1 will be available in two color options: black and dark green. The official launch date is set for June 18th, making it a highly anticipated addition to Garmin’s lineup of fitness watches.
