Eufy has introduced its first portable smart display, the Smart Display E10, designed to enable multiple users to control and monitor security devices from a single hub. This innovative device can display up to four live camera feeds simultaneously and is compatible with Eufy’s AI-supported video doorbells, smart locks, and the Homebase S380 data hub, unlocking features such as live notifications and facial recognition.

Technical Specifications

The technical specifications of the E10 align closely with those detailed in a leaked brochure shared to Reddit in May, prior to the announcement of the display hub by Eufy’s parent company, Anker. The device features an 8-inch HD touchscreen and is powered by a 4,050mAh battery, which Eufy claims will last “more than 24 hours on a single charge.” Additionally, it comes with a charging station and a wall stand, providing flexibility for positioning around the home or for portability between rooms. For connectivity, the E10 supports local area network (LAN) connections and dual-band Wi-Fi 6.

Smart Features and Functionality

When paired with the Homebase S380 data hub, the E10 can generate a summary of events captured by cameras and security devices twice daily. These summaries, referred to as the “Sunrise Summary” in the morning and the “Twilight Recap” in the evening, combine Eufy’s AI facial and package recognition features with stitched video clips to recap activities such as package deliveries. Furthermore, a live feed from one of Eufy’s smart doorbells or door locks will automatically appear on the E10 when motion is detected or within three seconds of someone pressing the doorbell, displaying the name of the visitor if their face is recognized.

Availability and Pricing

The E10 will be available for purchase on Amazon and Eufy’s webstore for $199.99 starting on June 30th, with presales commencing today. The Verge has reached out to Eufy for confirmation regarding the compatibility of the E10 with cameras, doorbells, and other smart home security devices manufactured by third-party companies, but has not yet received a response.
