Google has unveiled a range of new Gemini AI features for its Chromebook Plus laptops, highlighted by the introduction of the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14. This new flagship device is designed to enhance user experience with its lightweight build and advanced functionalities.

New AI Features

The Chromebook Plus 14 introduces several innovative AI functions. One of the standout features is the “select to search” capability, which allows users to long-press the launcher icon or take a screenshot to perform a Google search based on on-screen images or text. This feature is similar to what is available on mobile devices but tailored for Chromebooks. Captured text can be easily imported into Google Workspace applications such as calendars, spreadsheets, or documents. Additionally, the device can simplify complex or technical on-screen text.

Another notable addition is the Quick Insert key, referred to as the “Gemini button,” which now includes a shortcut for AI image generation. This enhancement aims to streamline creative tasks for users.
