Team Asobi Announces Five New Free Levels for Astro Bot

Team Asobi is set to release five new levels for Astro Bot, and players can access all of them at no cost. The developer has confirmed that the new levels will be available starting July 10 at 9 AM Eastern Time. Similar to the speedrun levels and previous free content, these new additions will be part of the Vicious Void Galaxy.

New Levels and Special Bots

Among the four newly announced levels are titled Twin-Frog Trouble, Suck It Up, Handhold Havoc, and High Inflation. However, Team Asobi is keeping the name of the fifth level a secret for now. Each level will feature its own Special Bot, including a “revengeful newcomer.” Additionally, the developer hinted that completing all five levels will unlock “something really cool.”

About Astro Bot

Astro Bot is a 3D platformer where players control a small robot named Astro as he navigates through various levels set in different galaxies and planets. The game is known for its innovative use of the DualSense controller, requiring players to hold down the analog triggers and physically tilt the device to maneuver Astro’s spaceship. Since its launch in late 2024, Team Asobi has released several updates and levels, bringing the total to over 90 playable levels.

Upcoming Controller Release

In addition to the announcement of the new free levels during the PlayStation State of Play event, Team Asobi also revealed plans to launch an updated version of the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller later this year. While specific details are yet to be disclosed, it has been teased that the controller will feature Astro’s smiling eyes on its touchpad.
