Anker has announced the release of its latest wireless sleep earbuds, the Soundcore Sleep A30, designed to provide an effective solution for blocking out disturbing noises during the night. These new earbuds incorporate active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, which aims to enhance sleep quality by minimizing external sounds.

Unlike previous models that relied solely on a snug fit within the ear, the Soundcore Sleep A30 combines this design with advanced ANC capabilities. This upgrade promises to deliver a more peaceful sleeping environment, making it easier for users to drift off without interruptions.

The Soundcore Sleep A30 is currently available for preorder through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, with full availability expected in August 2025 via Amazon and Soundcore’s online store. Priced at $229.99, the Sleep A30 is positioned at a higher price point compared to earlier models, but early Kickstarter backers can secure a discount, bringing the price down to $139.

The new earbuds have been designed to be 7 percent slimmer than their predecessors, featuring a smaller profile that reduces ear protrusion. This design change is particularly beneficial for side sleepers, as it alleviates pressure on the ears when resting on a pillow. To ensure a comfortable fit, Anker includes a variety of ear tip options: four sizes of silicone tips, three sizes of memory foam tips, and three sizes of ear wings.

According to Anker, the Soundcore Sleep A30 can block up to 30 decibels of external noise. However, the introduction of ANC does come with a trade-off in battery life. While the previous model, the A20, offered up to 14 hours of playback on a single charge, the A30 has a maximum battery life of up to nine hours when used independently. With the charging case, users can extend this to 45 hours, but this is primarily when listening to white noise or other sleep-inducing sounds stored directly on the earbuds. Streaming music or podcasts from a smartphone reduces battery life to approximately 6.5 hours or 35 hours with the case.

The charging case for the Sleep A30 has also been upgraded with what Anker refers to as “Adaptive Snore Masking technology.” This feature detects snoring sounds from nearby individuals, analyzes their volume and frequency, and generates noise masking audio that is transmitted to the earbuds to help block out disruptive sounds.

In addition to noise cancellation, the Sleep A30 earbuds come equipped with sleep monitoring and sleep position tracking capabilities. Users can track the quality of their sleep through the Soundcore mobile app, which provides insights into how restful or eventful their night was. Other features include a private repeatable alarm with snooze functionality and a “Find My Earbud” feature to assist users in locating their earbuds if they fall out during the night.

With these advancements, Anker aims to provide a comprehensive solution for individuals seeking to improve their sleep quality through innovative technology. The Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds represent a significant step forward in the realm of sleep aids, combining comfort, functionality, and advanced features to enhance the overall sleeping experience.
