8BitDo Controllers Now Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2

8BitDo has announced that eight of its flagship controllers are now compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 following a recent firmware update. This development allows users to enhance their gaming experience on the new console.

While some companies had early access to the Switch 2’s specifications to prepare their products, many controller manufacturers, including 8BitDo, had to wait until the launch day to confirm compatibility with the new console.

8BitDo boasts an extensive line of controllers that are already compatible with the original Nintendo Switch, including an upcoming model set to launch in July. The new firmware update is available for the following models:

The company has indicated that more updates are on the way, ensuring continued support for its products.

8BitDo provides multiple tools for updating the firmware on its controllers. One option is a dedicated application that downloads and installs new firmware when a controller is connected to a computer via USB cable.

Additionally, users can utilize the mobile app available for Windows, Android, and iOS devices, or the newer version of the software, which is exclusively available for Windows and macOS.
